Regenerative Medicine

Harnessing your body's own healing mechanisms. PRP and stem cell therapies offer alternatives to surgery for joint, tendon, and soft tissue conditions.

Healing from within

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP therapy uses a concentrated preparation of your own blood platelets, injected into damaged tissue to accelerate healing. Platelets contain growth factors that stimulate tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and promote new cell growth.

PRP is used for tendon injuries (tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy), osteoarthritis, ligament sprains, and muscle injuries. Because it uses your own blood, there's minimal risk of allergic reaction or rejection.

Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cell treatments use your body's own regenerative cells — typically harvested from bone marrow or adipose tissue — to repair damaged joints, cartilage, and soft tissue. This approach is being evaluated for osteoarthritis, cartilage defects, and degenerative joint conditions.

Dr. Knopp is expanding this practice area as the evidence base grows and as patients seek alternatives to joint replacement surgery.

Your Own Biology

PRP and stem cell therapies use your own cells — minimizing rejection risk and leveraging natural healing pathways.

Surgery Alternative

For appropriate candidates, regenerative options can delay or avoid joint replacement and other surgical interventions.

Evidence-Guided

Dr. Knopp recommends regenerative treatments based on current research and individual patient suitability — not hype.
